Conception of Conspiracy
In 1959, Cuba has become mired in CORRUPTION, OPPRESSION, and outright THEFT. Castro’s Revolution has turned into an oppressive, paranoid dictatorship. Neighbors spy on neighbors. Friends turn on friends. POVERTY is everywhere. DIGNITY, TRUTH, HONOR, and INTEGRITY are words from the past. A BRAVE FEW will put their lives at risk to fight Castro’s new Cuba.
Julio is one of those few. At 12 years old, Julio is a model Young Commander in Fidel Castro’s inner circle, becoming part of the elite of Castro’s military command. It is not long before Julio sees the true greed and corruption behind the government, and his heart turns against it. His Uncle invites him to join the FREEDOM FIGHTERS. For ten years Julio secretly thwarts Castro’s plans, until his cover is blown in 1971.
Just minutes before his imminent arrest, Julio is forced to flee Cuba, leaving his wife and son behind. Now hunted by the dreaded G-2 and Cuban Army patrols, Julio and his two friends must navigate minefields, hide, and fight for their lives in a JUNGLE SWAMP. They swim open ocean waters fending off SHARKS, the COLD, and CUBAN PATROL BOATS, finally reaching the U.S. Navy base at Guantanamo Bay and safety. They board a plane to Miami and FREEDOM.
Even in the U.S., Julio is not safe. In a Miami restaurant, a phone rings and Julio is called to the back phone using his code name; he is told that his wife and son have been executed. Just then, a BOMB EXPLODES, killing both of Julio’s friends and wounding Julio. In Miami, the G-2 has struck back.
Julio is devastated and SWEARS REVENGE! Left with NO HOME, NO FAMILY, NO COUNTRY, and NO FRIENDS, Julio is alone. His only goal now is to FIGHT CASTRO! Trained by his new allies in the intelligence service, he learns to enter and leave Cuba so fast he lives up to the name “CUBAN LIGHTNING” that Fidel Castro himself gave him.
Millions were burned
By 1988, Julio and his smuggled information have become so valuable to U.S. Intelligence that they devise a plan to help him out. The plan is code named “THE ZIPPER.” In this INCREDIBLY AMAZING PLAN, a counterfeiting operation is set up. It actually “clones” currencies, like U.S. dollars, with official government paper and ink. The money produced is used by Julio and his team to close in on Castro’s influence throughout the world.
Just as Julio completes the operation, after helping funnel millions around the world, HE IS ARRESTED by the SECRET SERVICE for COUNTERFEITING! The Secret Service finds over TWENTY MILLION DOLLARS in counterfeit “cloned” money from the operation, and things look bad for Julio. He is not cleared, but quietly released after serving six months.
Los Angeles 2010: Julio, having obtained his documents moments before they were to be shredded, drives away from the courthouse covertly tailed by government agents. As he pulls into a copy shop to make duplicates, he is surrounded by armed agents who demand the file. Julio, putting his hand on his gun says they can be taken ONLY OVER HIS DEAD BODY.Just as a gunfight is about to erupt, another group of agents pull up, drawing guns on the first group. “This man is under our protection!” the agents cry. Julio is free, and soon everyone will know the truth of his story.
Court Order
Watch for “THE ZIPPER” as the Cuban Lightning fights worldwide communism, contributes to the collapse of the Soviet economy and the Berlin Wall and changes the course of history from a warehouse in Santa Ana, Orange County, California.

Cuba has become mired in CORRUPTION, OPPRESSION, and outright THEFT. Castro’s Revolution has turned into an oppressive, paranoid dictatorship. Neighbors spy on neighbors. Friends turn on friends. POVERTY is everywhere. The “G-2”, Cuba’s SECRET POLICE, have been compared to the NAZI SS and the Soviet KGB for the atrocities committed against the Cuban people. DIGNITY, TRUTH, HONOR, and INTEGRITY are words from the past, BUT SOME WILL NOT TOLERATE THIS SITUATION. A FEW will put their lives at risk to fight Castro’s Revolution.
JULIO ANTONIO MARMOL is one of those people. Beginning at 12 years old, Julio is a model Young Commander in Fidel Castro’s inner circle, becoming part of the elite of Castro’s military command. But being an eyewitness to the inner workings of Castro’s cabinet, the blatant betrayal of the Cuban people causes Julio to begin his own private war against Castro. Knowing that he can not fight Castro directly, he jumps at a chance to work with US Intelligence. With friends, Russian patrol boats are crippled, major transportation centers are sabotages, and he is personally involved with one of the closest and most sophisticated attempts on Fidel Castro’s life. But, because of a mole in the US, his cover is blown in 1971.
With just minutes until being arrested, Julio must decide to flee Cuba leaving his wife and son behind. In Washington, Cuba demands Julio’s immediate return for trial through the Soviet Embassy. The State Department claims that no entry visa has ever been recorded for Julio and can not be of immediate assistance. They will make “inquiries.”
But even the US is not safe: at dinner in a Miami restaurant, the men relax. A phone rings, and Julio is called to the restaurant phone using his code name; his wife and son have been executed. With Julio, US Intelligence strikes a bargain. They will help Julio with his fight and he will gather and deliver information from Cuba for them. By 1988, Julio realizes that it will take a LOT OF MONEY to organize the fight, buy “friendship” and “loyalty”, then supply arms and ammunition. Julio and his smuggled information have become so valuable to US Intelligence that they devise a plan to help him out. The plan is code named “THE ZIPPER.”
